Tying the knot next year? Have you thought about your wedding stationery yet? Whether you’re looking to create something classic and timeless or experiment a little with something more up-to-date, these are the key wedding stationery trends to look out for in 2020!

Sustainability

Creating sustainable stationery is something that has become so much more important to couples in recent years and is something that we’re constantly looking to incorporate into our service here at Rose Press.

We work hard to source products which are sustainable and recyclable and as we print almost all work in-house we are able to manage, control and reduce wastage.

Simple considerations for couples looking to create more sustainable wedding stationery for their big day are choosing double-sided printed items to save on paper, combining place name cards with menus as well as using large signage instead of individual order of the day cards.

Minimalist Designs

We’ve started to see a much more stripped back approach to wedding stationery and this is very much set to continue well into next year. Think soft colour palettes, simple lettering and fuss-free detailing. Often choosing just one standout detail such as a pop of gold foiling or blind debossing is enough to make your stationery come to life!

Monograms

Couples are increasingly wishing to add more personal details into their big day and a simple way to do that is through a bespoke monogram of your initials. Whether it’s a simple wax seal monogram to seal your envelopes or monogrammed tags to tie your invitation suite together, this small finishing touch adds that final element of luxury and personalisation to complete your wedding stationery. This detail can then be used on your on the day stationery items, such as menu cards and table numbers to continue the theme throughout.

Soft Colour Palettes

We’ve been seeing a lot of interest in softer colour palettes from our recent couples and we predict this trend to continue well into 2020 too. Layering papers and incorporating textures has also been a popular choice when it comes to creating a luxurious feel within your wedding stationery.

Hand-Drawn Illustrations

Another popular way to bring personality into your wedding stationery that doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon is hand-drawn illustrations. Whether that be a sketch of the venue where you’re tying the knot, a map to help guide your guests or some simple drawings to to inject your order of the day cards with a little bit of fun!
